Welcome!
The Mission of the Student Support Services (SSS) program is to
increase the graduation and retention of first generation college students and
those with financial need.
To be eligible you must be either a first generation college
student (i.e., neither parent has earned a bachelors degree) or have financial
need. Generally, you will be eligible if you have been awarded need-based
financial aid from UH Manoa or from other need-based scholarship programs such
as Kamehameha Schools/Bishop Estate scholarship or the Hawai'i Community
Foundation scholarship programs. Even if you did not receive financial aid, you
may still be eligible if you meet the income criteria.
SSS provides a centrally located study room and computer lab and
offers academic advising, tutoring and workshops to eligible students each year.

Partial Tuition Awards
Applications are now
available to pick up at the ASUH Office! As long as you are a full-time,
classified undergraduate, you can apply in one of 3 categories: Unique
Situation, High Financial Need, and Academic Achievement. Applications
will be due on October 8, 2008 at 4:00pm.

Dental Clean-Ups? Well,
the University of Hawai'i Dental Hygiene Clinic (UHDHC) offers
dental clean-ups and x-rays! The cost is $25 (UHM students w/Quest are

students:
 SSS
students who are independent, i.e. not claimed by anyone as a dependent, may be
eligible for free health coverage through the new QUEST-ACE program. Click
